MonSTARS Rule The Night!

The end of the Austin SSC flag football season means only one thing: a new champion has been crowned! In a playoff run for the ages, MonSTARS shocked the world and came home with the championship banner. Every game was competitive as players left all they had on the field since they knew that it was win or go home. Major consideration should go to Burressted Development as they unexpectedly made it to the championship game despite being a low seed. The saying around SSC goes, "Any given Monday, anything can happen" and that could not have been exemplified more during the playoffs as there were upsets galore.

The team of the night and of the season was MonSTARS as they defeated The Deadliest Snatch in the first round by the narrowest of margins. It was a very heated, close game throughout but MonSTARS were able to shut the door in the end. They then stunned the league as they chewed up and spit out the previously undefeated and Vegas odds' favorite to win, TD My Pants by a score of 40-31. This gave MonSTARS loads of confidence to then turn around and whoop Burressted Development in the finals 26-13 to claim their first Austin SSC championship.

It was a great flag football season as teams played hard and showed good sportsmanship throughout. We hope that everyone returns for another exciting season and comes hungry to take home a championship!
