Uglies Can’t Stomach This Spiked Punch! (Sundays)

We had another fantastic Sunday of indoor volleyball this week! Some teams have separated themselves from the pack, including Wrecking Crew and I have Seen Better Passes in a Bar. Both held onto their undefeated records of 4-0. Yet other teams are battling it out to remain in a comfortable enough spot to make it to the playoffs in a couple weeks. We recognize one such team this week – Spiked Punch.

Spiked Punch overtook Bumpin Uglies 2-0 to push their record up to 2-2, after they dropped the first two games of the season. The explanation for the rapid turnaround? Sure it could be the 30 hours a week they put into practicing, the grueling 20 mile warm-up runs before each game, or that they are really, really, ridiculously good-looking. But we’ve boiled it down to their pregame beverage of choice and team name inspiration: a spiked punch cocktail to put a little pep in their step. Although we were denied the rights to the recipe, Spiked Punch assured us that it ain’t for the weak. Let’s see if it will carry them another week, as they face an unbeaten Wrecking Crew next Sunday.
