Scoring Frenzy

Wednesday marked week one of the newest soccer league up in Pflugerville. No team came out with more energy than the Outlaws. Their first game ended in a lopsided victory over Bagpipes United, as they unleashed numerous shots on goal, resulting in a 7-0 win. Bagpipes seemed to be scared of the ball as they failed to manufacture a single goal and watched as an impressive Outlaws team ran all over them. Look for a good game this Wednesday between Looking To Score and Outlaws as the two undefeated juggernauts face off.

We encourage Saved By The Balls and Bend it Like Cuervo to rethink their strategies this week as each team posted unimpressive zeros in their opening matches. If the teams remain scoreless after week two we suggest breaking out the piggy banks and buying a large beer for refs and league staff to swing the advantage in their favor.

We expect to see another fun-filled week out on the fields. Stop by Docs after the games to celebrate if any of the three scoreless teams manage to put the ball in the net, or buy them a drink to make them feel better about themselves.
